Paper Shelter Challenge Time: "Winter Sports"

I had so much fun coloring this cute, new, image from The Paper Shelter. This is "Snowboarder Girl" and it is one of the many new fun images. Remember if you use a Paper Shelter image you can win up to $30 in stamps. Each stamp comes with a jpeg, ping, outline, and background paper! How fun is that? Our challenge is "Winter Sports".
I had one piece of this Christmas paper left from a long gone pad. I thought it would work perfect for a winter card! Some pretty snowflake buttons and a bit of glitter for some sparkle. Some liquid glass to the goggles added a fun look. The large snowflake is wooden and the "Brrrr" is several years old and glued to the button. A bit of glitter her and around the die cut heart  adds lots of bling. I fussy cut the image and then mounted her with foam dots to pop her. I think she looks like she is flying through the air!  A pretty gingham ribbon and bow finished off my card.
Now, you can play your winter sport and join us for this fun challenge! Keep warm and enjoy your day!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: "Wolverton Mountain" by Claude King
They say don't go on Wolverton Mountain if you're looking for a wife
Cause Clifton Clowers has a pretty young daughter
He's mighty handy with a gun and a knife
Her tender lips (Her tender lips)
Are sweeter than honey
And Wolverton Mountain protects her there
The bears and the birds tell Clifton Clowers
If a stranger should enter there
All of my dreams are on Wolverton Mountain
I want his daughter for my wife
I'll take my chances and climb that mountain
Though Clifton Clowers he might take my life

"Z" is for Zero!

The left inside of my card!
The left inside of may card!
 Another look!
I am sorry for the poor pictures of my card. But, we are having such dark, dreary days, and cold, cold temperatures in Idaho, it is impossible to get good light for pictures.
Can you believe we are at the end of the alphabet again? So for our letter "Z" the challenge at ABC Challenge and "Z" is For Zero. No embellishments! That's right you cannot use any embellishments of any kind! If any of you are groaning I am right there with you. It was hard for me to not add some pearls, rhinestones, or even a flower or two. LOL! I survived it and you will too! Our lovely sponsor is Lacy Sunshine and you can find her lovely stamps here!
I used two new die cuts to set off this lovely stamp and colored my image with Copics!  I hope you will join our fun and "Zero" challenge!
I am entering this card in the following challenges:

My Song:  Never My Love (The Association)
You ask me if there'll come a time
When I grow tired of you
Never my love
Never my love
You wonder if this heart of mine
Will lose its desire for you
Never my love
Never my love
What makes you think love will end
When you know that my whole life depends
On you (on you)
Never my love
Never my love
You say you fear I'll change my mind
And I won't require you
Never my love
Never my love
How can you think love will end
When I've asked you to spend your whole life
With me (with me, with me)

Shade's of Blue

With winter chill upon us the next challenge at THE PAPER SHELTER of "Shade's of Blue" is perfect. I hope you all are keeping warm and can take some time to join us this week. Remember if you use a Paper Shelter image you could win a fabulous prize of $30.00 to spend at THE PAPER SHELTER shop! With each stamp you get a JPEG, PING, Black  Outline, all ready to color, and a colored version (which includes the colored stamp and background paper). You cannot find a better bargain anywhere. So show us your Winter Blues. Remember blue must be the predominate color please don't enter a card or project that is just a little tiny touch of blue somewhere!
My lovely image is called  "Autumn Love"
As you can see it can easily fit the 'Shade's of Blue' and is certainly indicative of the weather many are experiencing across the USA!  The flowers are all from WOC and I used a die cut lace and ribbon as accents. I have not stamped a sentiment inside yet, but I will do so when the appropriate time to use this card comes! I hope everyone is safe from the flooding and winter storms. So enjoy some craft time and join our challenge!

My Song: Maybe Your  Baby's Got the Blues (The Judds)
If you hear her cry at night
Better turn on your light
Maybe your baby's got the blues
When she says there's nothing wrong
She just wants to be alone
You can bet your baby's got the blues

"A Little Birdie Told Me"

Some of you may know that I have been having a nightmare with my new computer. Thank heaven's for my husband who has stayed up late and worked through the wee hours of the morning trying to get it straightened out. For those I contacted who resent the images I had bought previously I want to give a big shout out to "Fairy Ink, and Redonkulous, Time For Tea Designs, " I can only say you have my heartfelt thanks and my future business. I did have a backup of most of my images but for some reason everything I had stored out on One Drive  was lost. I must say that I was surprised by some who didn't even bother to reply or say no. I realize that situations like this are time consuming, but if you sell through Etsy then you could just extend your date that the images could be downloaded. I will be more careful whom I do business with in the future!
Now onto brighter things. This cute image is from Mo Manning. She is part of the "Raggedy Images" and I love the way the stamp puts a smile on your face. I love all the "Raggedy Images" and I am in hopes Mo Manning will do more of these images!  I used a die cut from "Joy Crafts" for the mittens and hat. The sled is a new die cut from Memory Box! The fun sentiment is from "Oriental Trading". So now, I have officially started  my Christmas cards! Since I only had a few prepared for this year I think this is a great start!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:
My Song: It Is No Secret (Elvis Presley)
The chimes of time ring out the news,
Another day is through.
Someone slipped and fell.
Was that someone you?
You may have longed for added strength,
Your courage to renew.
Do not be disheartened,
For I have news for you.
It is no secret what God can do.
What He's done for others, He'll do for you.
With arms wide open, He'll pardon you.
It is no secret what God can do.

"Y" Equals "Your Choice"

This image evokes all sorts of childhood memories. My family lived in a small house and it was heated with an oil stove. I can remember my mom and dad opening the doors to the stove and we kids would back up to the stove and get warm. My mom always made pajamas for my brothers and myself  out of warm flannel. I slept on a feather bed that my fluffed up each morning and it was loaded with homemade quilts that kept me warm and snug all night. Does anyone else have memories like this? So different from walking over to a thermostat and turning up the heat. OK, I have walked down memory lane long enough! On to my card.
I used paper that I had in my scrap bin and used a Spellbinders die to frame the stamp. I fussy cut the stamp and in doing so cut off several of the wispy curls. The stove I added some rhinestones to for a bit of sparkle. (I also added a few to the die cut.) A pretty pink bow and a vintage button completed my card.  You can find this stamp at our lovely Sponsors blog: "The Paper Shelter"
and she is called "Brrr...It's Cold" and you can just click on the links to go to the store or the stamp!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: Baby It's Cold Outside (Dean Martin)
(I really can't stay) But, baby, it's cold outside
(I've got to go away) But, baby, it's cold outside
(This evening has been) Been hoping that you'd drop in
(So very nice) I'll hold your hands they're just like ice
(My mother will start to worry) Beautiful, what's your hurry
(My father will be pacing the floor) Listen to the fireplace roar
(So really I'd better scurry) Beautiful, please don't hurry
(Well, maybe just half a drink more) Put some records on while I pour
(The neighbors might think) Baby, it's bad out there
(Say what's in this drink) No cabs to be had out there
(I wish I knew how) Your eyes are like starlight now
(To break this spell) I'll take your hat, your hair looks swell
